Streusel Whole Wheat Walnut Crumb Cake

1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
1/3cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon

2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
3 tspbaking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup milk
1/3 cupmargarine or butter? softened
                                        1 egg

3/4 cup powedered sugar
1 to 2 tblsp water

Heat oven to 350F/ Grease and flour two 8 or 9 inch round cake pans. In a small bowl mix all steusel ingridients untill well blended set aside.

Lightly spoon flour into measuringg cup, level off. In a large bowl, combine all cake ingridients. Beat at low speed untill moistened; beat 2 min at midium speed. Spread about 3/4 cup of batter in each greeesed and floured pan; sprinkle 1/4 of streusel mixture evenly over batter in each pan. Carefully spread remaining batter over streusel in each pan; sprinkle with remeining streusel mixture.

Bake at 350F for 20 to 30 mins or untill toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool slightly.
